You might say that Realme is like the Universe - endlessly expanding and full of surprises. Okay, that analogy may be too far off, but the company has once again defied the laws of budget phones with the new Realme 6 series and the headliner - the Realme 6. It's the cheapest 90Hz phone you can buy today. And it has a lot more to offer than just a high refresh rate screen.

The Realme 6's eye grabber is indeed the large 6.5" 1080p screen with 90Hz refresh rate and it's coupled by the gaming-friendly Helio G90T chip. And the 4,300 mAh battery is more than adequate. Oh, and the 30W fast charging is much appreciated.

Well, Realme 6 might be a budget phone, but that doesn't come at the expense of the camera department. On the back, you'd find a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor.

All sorts of connectivity options are available, memory expansion as well, and the whole thing is splash-proof.

Budget phones keep getting better year after year, and we’re at the point now where flagship handsets are looking woefully overpriced. The Realme 6 is a typical example. On paper, it looks like the perfect phone; the price, however, is a very reasonable 9,990.00.

Excellent as the Realme 6 is, though, it does have a couple of serious rivals in its price bracket. In recent months, Samsung has unleashed a slew of phenomenal budget handsets, while Motorola has succeeded in making 5G more accessible than any other manufacturer, also at low prices. Does the Realme 6 have what it takes to beat these more established brands?
